CHAPTER FOUR
August 16, 2001
As mentioned last week, Professor Pratt has obtained images that seem to substantiate our beliefs
that there is something strange on the rooftops of New York City. Since Larry and I were in the
Big Apple, I returned to homebase at Pigdog Productions and Larry stayed in the area where we first
found the Zone Goggles. He kept poking and prowling around trying to run into Bronnis again, but
to no avail. When he did finally return home, his work laboratory had been ransacked and all
his computer files deleted. Larry thought it was a good time to "go on vacation", and has been
trying to keep a low profile. Meanwhile his friends and family are getting calls from an Insurance
Investigator and someone is anxious to find him. I hope, for Larry's safety, he can stay hidden
until we can find out what is happening here.
I'm sorry I dragged you into this, Larry. There is no way I can compensate you for how your
life has gotten twisted around, but maybe there is a greater purpose to all of this that will
be some sort of reward. To anyone else thinking of getting involved, let this be another warning
that this is reality, and strange things can happen to you.

My Dear Friend Bruce,
It’s taken me a bit of time to figure out a way to
communicate with you now that I’m, as they say, incognito.
Needless to say our traditional channels of communication
have been unavailable but I have included a CD-ROM with the infrared images I
mentioned when we last met. It’s been
impossible, you know. I simply can’t
logon to an Internet provider and start surfing the Net. Fortunately I still have colleagues at
colleges and universities scattered across the country and I can occasionally
get access at their labs.

The images show Manhattan Island at increasing
resolutions. My source (let’s call her
Dr. Doe) was running a research scan for spectral anomalies and discovered a
minute phase sift in the data codes embedded in the images. High-resolution manipulation revealed that
these anomalies were relatively small, intense energy bursts with heat indexes
shifted by 0.237%. My analysis leads me
to the conclusion that someone or something was able to produce an intense
distortion in the electromagnetic field on the rooftops of the three buildings
involved. Amazing!!!! We see this kind of shifting in the spectrum
of light from distant galaxies that has been bent and refocused by intervening
clumps of dark matter and more nearby galaxies. Producing this phenomenon in an Earth environment is
unprecedented!!!!

All quite astounding, you know! But, on a separate note, I’ve run into a chap who’s headed for
the American Desert Southwest and I think I’ll tag along. Seems he started out 10 years ago studying
paleocyclotheistic sites and their relationship to cultural duration. Oh, I guess I should explain. Paleocyclotheism is the study of how certain
religious and ceremonial sites are used over and over by different
cultures. For example, some churches in
England are built on the ruins of Celtic ceremonial sites which themselves
overlay Druid ruins that appear to have had religious importance. This chap, Dr. Ecklestein, is curious as to
why the cultures using these sites seem to unexpected disappear.
We’re headed for the Colorado Plateau to investigate a rumor
that older ruins have been found beneath the floors of ceremonial kivas built
by the Anasazi Culture – an extensive and developed native culture that seems
to have simply vanished abut 750 years ago!
Quite intriguing and you know me, I can’t resist a mystery!
